1. Who these terms are between
These terms apply when you visit interstellarinstructions.com or open a 3D guide on a phone, tablet or computer ("the Site" and "a Guide"). They are between you and Tate Development LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, doing business as Interstellar Instructions ("we", "us"). Contact: legal@interstellarinstructions.com. Mailing address: 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801.
If you are a brand that publishes Guides with us, the Brand Terms of Service apply to you as well. These terms are version 1.0, last updated 5 Oct 2026. By using the Site or a Guide you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
2. What a Guide is, and who makes the product
- A Guide is a 3D step-by-step guide for assembling or using a product. The brand that makes or sells the product publishes the Guide, approves each step and is responsible for its content.
- We are not the seller or the manufacturer of the product. We build and host Guides for brands. We do not sell the product, we do not make it, and we cannot take orders, refunds or warranty claims for it. Contact the brand or the store where you bought the product for those. Each Guide names the brand and links to its support contact.
- A Guide shown as a sample or private demo is for review by a brand. It is not approved by the brand it is built for and says so on the page.
3. The printed manual and safety warnings come first
- Safety warnings in a Guide are the brand's own, copied word for word from its printed manual, with the manual page and the manual's own signal word (for example Warning or Caution). Read and follow them.
- If a Guide and the printed manual differ, follow the printed manual. The printed manual and its warnings govern. If you think a Guide is wrong, stop, use the printed manual, and tell the brand or us at legal@interstellarinstructions.com.
- A Guide is an aid. It does not replace your own care, the printed manual, the product's labels or the advice of a qualified professional where the task needs one (for example electrical, gas or structural work). Stop if a step looks unsafe or does not match what you see.
4. Ask and AI answers
- Some Guides include an Ask feature that answers questions about the product. Answers are written by an AI model from the brand's approved manual and Guide. Every answer is labelled "AI answer".
- AI answers can be wrong or incomplete. They are not professional, medical, legal, electrical or safety advice. Check an answer against the printed manual and the warnings before you act on it. Do not rely on an AI answer for anything that could cause injury or damage.
- Do not put sensitive personal information in a question. Questions are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Part requests
A Guide can let you ask for a missing or damaged part. We pass your request, with the contact details you give, to the brand. The brand decides whether and when to send a part and handles the request from there. We do not ship parts, and we do not promise that a request will be approved or fulfilled.
6. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- use the Site or a Guide in a way that is unlawful or that harms other people;
- try to break, probe or overload the Site, get around its limits or access anything you are not meant to see;
- scrape, copy or resell Guides, 3D models or Site content in bulk, or use them to train a model, without our written permission;
- send malware, spam or false part requests, or use Ask to try to make the AI produce harmful content;
- use our name, a brand's name or a Guide to suggest an endorsement that does not exist.
We may limit or block access that breaks these rules.
7. Ownership
The Site, the viewer, the 3D models and the parts kit are ours or our licensors'. Manual text, product names and marks belong to the brands that publish them. You may open and read a Guide for your own use of the product, and print or save a copy for that use. Nothing here gives you any other right in them.
8. No warranties
The Site and Guides are free to read and are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that they are accurate, complete, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose, and we disclaim all other warranties. The brand is responsible for the content of its Guide. Some places do not allow some of these disclaimers; where that is so, they apply to the fullest extent allowed.
9. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable to you for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site or a Guide. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Site or a Guide is limited to $100. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence where the law does not allow that to be excluded, fraud, or wilful misconduct. We are not responsible for the product, for the brand's content or for how you use either.
10. Your rights under consumer law
Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law gives you and that cannot be waived by contract. If you live in a US state that gives consumers rights we cannot limit, those rights stay. If you live in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, including any right to bring a claim in your local courts and any liability that cannot be excluded under local law. Where a term here conflicts with one of those rights, the right applies and the rest of the term stays in force.
11. Privacy
How we handle data is in the Privacy Policy. The brand that publishes a Guide decides what the Guide collects, and its own privacy policy also applies. Our own website uses first-party analytics, described there.
12. Changes, governing law and contact
- Changes: we may update these terms. The version and date at the top show which text applies. A material change applies from the date shown and does not apply to a dispute that began before that date.
- Governing law: the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Wyoming, subject to section 10. This matches the Brand Terms of Service.
- Severability: if a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a right is not giving it up.
- Contact: legal@interstellarinstructions.com for these terms, and privacy@interstellarinstructions.com for privacy questions. A person replies.
